We spoke maybe 5-6 months ago over the phone in regards to my 10 year old son
who was seriously injured riding his motocross bike and wanted to quit riding. Well I’m happy to say
that he made the decision himself back around mid-January to start riding again, he said that he
missed it too much and wanted to start riding. Since at that time it was the middle of winter and
riding wasn’t possible I decided to buy the Mental Toughness Academy program and have him go through
it during the winter before he was able to start riding. We went through every module, 1 per week and
he religiously listens to the guided visualizations (or as he calls it “My Craig Stuff”) every night
before bed and before school and I have to say, he is a much more confident, happy kid again. He wants
to ride every day, and is even wants to do his first race in 9 months this weekend.
We plan
to go thru all 8 modules of the program again from the start just to keep it fresh.

old with total Fear of injury, wanting to quit - back to wanting to ride and race, being more

READ HOW MENTAL TOUGHNESS CAN CHANGE AN ATHLETE'S LIFE!
Dear Craig,
I wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for helping me turn my game
around. I had the athletic parts down but I didn’t have my thoughts in control.
So…
WHAT IS MENTAL TOUGHNESS?
What’s mental toughness to me? It’s
a very important part of sport. I’d say it’s about 50% of the battle. I was searching for something to
help me with my thoughts because I used to think negatively and barely have any confidence. Then, when
I ran into these tapes, I knew they would help me! They taught me so much about being mentally
positive and what I could do to help my play. These tapes even told me stories of professional
athletes that had the same problems and what they did to solve it or that were super mentally tough.
These tapes are so good I’d recommend them.
WHAT WERE YOU LIKE BEFORE?
Before these tapes, I used to feel like I was about to give a school class presentation.
I got super flushed and nervous before a game and I had an overwhelming feeling that I had to be
perfect. I was so hard on myself and I couldn’t get the little mistakes out of my head. Now I’m a
positive and confident player thanks to my mentally tough mind. Now if I make a mistake I bounce
back... not letting it affect me. These tapes also taught me about my power brain. My power brain is
the part of my brain that tells me what to do. So before games I think back to some stuff I did very
well and told my power brain to duplicate it. I’ve learned that you can’t get mad at what you can’t
control like the refs or weather. You just got to go and give it your all because, the more you put
into your sport, the more you get out.
HOW HAS THIS PROGRAM CHANGED YOU?
There are a lot of things that stood out to me, but this one story that these tapes
shared really hit me. Doctors used to think that it’s physically impossible to run a mile in less than
four minutes, but this kid proved them wrong and ran a mile in less! Remember you can do the
impossible. This message was very important to me. Also another thing that helped me the most was the
rubber band method, which is where you wear a rubber band or a hair tie on your wrist and whenever you
say something negative in your head you snap yourself and it hurts just enough to have you learn not
to put yourself down like that. This helped so much and I used to not even realize that I was putting
myself down, but now whenever I say negative stuff I realize and fix it.
